Last Wednesday, my father told me that he needs to submit his latest picture at work to the department.
I told him, why not we do some photoshoot in your office tomorrow?
The next day, I went to his office and photoshoot these kick ass photos! He loves all of them!
All pictures were taken using Nikon CLS. The group photos were also having great light from the side, which was also created using the CLS.

Nikonian CLS Class, 20 April 2008
Again, with only one female participant, it would not have been successful without the enthusiasm of the participants (of course when there's a girl model). Mostly professionals, include photographers for Akademi Fantasia and a lawyer, it was lot of fun, fun and fun!
Conducted at Sri Malaysia Johor Bahru, we've been the center of attraction as there were other tenants doing their seminars and courses. For a while, people were surrounding us, watching what were we doing in the middle of the walkway in the hotel park.
Look at how passionate they are when photoshooting the model. They do took good shots too!
One of my favourite. Shot by Zaidi. Look at the green background created using gel with CLS. The crossing shadow creates a great impact!
Here comes the portraiture. Enough tilt, simple pose and make use of the CLS settings to turn the bright background into a backdrop. Shot by Zamri Md Zan.
Magic!
Everybody pressed the shutter and the flash fired at once!

Nikonian Beginner to Intermediate Class, 13 April 2008
One of the participants, a mother, who just bought a D300 and enthusiatically attended the class had really amazed me. For some people, an entry level DSLR like D40, D40x or D60 maybe a good start but her.
Even though some of the participants are also those who have been in the scene for quite sometimes, I believe they are here to refresh themselves of the fundamentals, and DIG up our secrets, at NIKONIAN.
So that's why we are here! Providing classes and share out tips and tricks in photography.
Eventhough it's the Beginner to Intermediate class, we do some Studio Lighting to give them ideas of how it was done. Looking at the pictures, even if they took themseloves makes them feeling a lil steps further.
The class ends at about 6 PM after a busy Q&A session with the participants!

Wedding at Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia
It was the wedding of Ike and Dody. I went there as a relative, but I'm not gonna miss out photoshooting this colourful Malay Wedding.
Tanjung Pinang is within the Riau Island, of which the origin of the early Johor-Riau monarchy ruling a very long time ago. So it is not something new that maybe most of Malays have relatives in around Riau Island or KEPRI (Kepulauan Riau), as the indonesians live with shortforms!
In this picture, I'm taking a close shot of IKE, the bride, of whom is in the process of berinai. Like most of the local Malaysian Malay Wedding, applying henna is done prior to the wedding, and without the knowledge of anyone but the berinai event is done after the solemnization.
In Tanjung Pinang, berinai is actually the function of applying the henna and is done in front of everyone. They even have dance and the bride will have to lay down on a matress until the henna is fully dried off.
The next morning, the solemnization of the bride and groom is successfully carried out by only a single attempt. For some people, it's really a big deal, and so does them.
The above picture was taken using a simple CLS technique, as the surrounding was a lil bit dark and it's merely just a simple lighting technique.
Another CLS technique product. All the CLS was by assistance of my cousin, Hafizh who followed me there. It happened that certain tools was not taken with me and Hafizh had to hold the white brolly and the flash.
In this picture, it happens that the assigned photographer, Reno from Tg. Pinang brought his backdrop and I decided to do the CLS with the backdrop
Reno, a very nice guy with the D70s with his videographer.

Noorsham during the Portraiture Talk.
All the enthusiastic photographers were there, photoshooting the models.
A few photos of the models taken using Nikon CLS. All models are from the SGX Faces
