Maulidur Rasul

It's been a while being without a camera. That day, there was an announcement over the Surau's speaker mentioning about a parade in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul.


I quickly decided to snap some photos through out the parade spontaneously. As this is the first time ever the Surau's committee organizing such event.

It was quite a shiny day and wearing Baju Melayu making the heat was pretty unbearable.

Well, IMHO this is the best shot of the day. The rest of the shots can be viewed in my Flickr.

Judging the MTC photo contest

I am glad that finally the whole judging process was over. It was way off the easy path. I would not say every submission was good but the really good ones were really good.

I hope there would more and more of this kind of competition. I was not only appreciating the beauty of these photos, but the value it brings to the mass. Even though it looks like we were restricted by the policies but that was the best decision ever met; in order to abide the policy and to appreciate what was supposed to be appreciated.

Photo I love most was the bird feeding the baby birds. Birds - OK, feeding them - was still OK, but while the mother bird fed the first baby bird and the second baby bird look at them like that; that was a moment with emotion.

EDM Project :: MBSB Photoshoot

Got a call from Martin @ EDM to shoot for MBSB's book. This is one of MBSB's advertisement that's being used in the book. The background of UMNO building became side object of the subject.

I walked almost a kilometer to get this shot. Luckily there's a place to park my car. Shooting alone is not easy :)

My Father

Last Wednesday, my father told me that he needs to submit his latest picture at work to the department.

I told him, why not we do some photoshoot in your office tomorrow?

The next day, I went to his office and photoshoot these kick ass photos! He loves all of them!

All pictures were taken using Nikon CLS. The group photos were also having great light from the side, which was also created using the CLS.

Again, with only one female participant, it would not have been successful without the enthusiasm of the participants (of course when there's a girl model). Mostly professionals, include photographers for Akademi Fantasia and a lawyer, it was lot of fun, fun and fun!

Conducted at Sri Malaysia Johor Bahru, we've been the center of attraction as there were other tenants doing their seminars and courses. For a while, people were surrounding us, watching what were we doing in the middle of the walkway in the hotel park.

Look at how passionate they are when photoshooting the model. They do took good shots too!

One of my favourite. Shot by Zaidi. Look at the green background created using gel with CLS. The crossing shadow creates a great impact!

Here comes the portraiture. Enough tilt, simple pose and make use of the CLS settings to turn the bright background into a backdrop. Shot by Zamri Md Zan.
